The offense of the Lady Panthers completely overpowered the Lady Mustangs at Friday night’s Senior’s Night game.
With 2:11 left in the first period the Panthers were up 11-1 and the one point the Mustangs put up were from a foul shot.
Nisha Adams (no. 14) had another impressive night with 21 points, 14 rebounds and 10 blocks. Not far behind was Metra Walthour (no. 5) with 11 points and Jasmine Alonzo (no. 4) with 8 points.
With such a lead the coach made sure everyone got the chance to play. And with the season coming to an end, coach Carolyn Kelly is thinking about regional playoffs.
“Right now we are divided into sub regions and unfortunately the defending champions, which is Hephzibah, is in our region. And we are right behind them,” Kelly said.
With front players, Adams, Walthour and Alonzo, as well as some youngsters developing their talents coming back, coach Kelly expects a better team next season.
“Kourtney Alexander and Miata Askew, we are looking for big things from them next year.” she said. “We are going to have them come in this summer and send them to some camps and get them more playing experience.”
