Lady Panthers will hit the hardwood in college

Working side by side, Miata Askew and Kourtney Jordan Alexander helped the Liberty County Lady Panthers to winning seasons for the past two years. The athletes were familiar enough with each other’s skills to feed each other the rock for the basket. On Monday, the girls stood side by side again as they signed scholarships to play college basketball. This time, however, the two will part ways.

Askew signed a scholarship to play for Young Harris College. Alexander is headed to Albany State University.
