The Bradwell Lady Tigers suffered a devastating loss to the Lady Bulldogs of Beach High on Tuesday night (67-41).
To add insult to injury the last three-point shot came from Dominique Washington from mid court for the Bulldogs, as the buzzer sounded to end the game. It was a close game for the first period, but by the end of the second, the Lady Tigers were behind by 13 points.
The Tiger’s top scorer, Jammie McLemore had only five points in the entire first half. For the Lady Bulldogs Khalilah Watson put up 18 points and Shandrea Thomas scored 15 points.
The Lady Tigers lacked the rebounds to help them offensively and even defensively not a steal or a rebound helped them add extra points.
“Rebounding, I think played a big role, you can’t give them (Beach) that many opportunities to capitalize and I think their inside game played strong tonight, stronger than the first time we played them and that really hurt us also,” coach Faye Baker said.
The Lady Tigers will face Johnson tonight at 7, their last home game for the regular season.
“Johnson is our last regular season game, so in post game talk, we talked about trying to turn things around and get the game back on track,” Baker said.
It will be senior’s night and the Lady Tigers will lose four of their senior’s this year.
