LCHS Panthers take bite out of bulldogs
Undefeated boys now 11-0, 2-0 in Region 3-AAA

The LCHS Panthers rolled into Thomson County only a few hours after pounding Washington County, 80-52, at home Friday night. They rolled out with victory No. 11 after defeating the Bulldogs 71-63 on their own court Saturday night.

The boys are now 11-0 and 2-0 in Region 3-AAA.

The Lady Panthers recovered from Friday’s 50-69 loss by defeating the Lady Bulldogs, 57-41, despite missing starters Miata Askew and Diamone Johnson. According to Lady Panther coach Carolyn Kelly, the girls were led by Kourtney Alexander, who scored 28 points, and Courtney Rhodes with 12 points.

The girls are 8-3 overall and 1-1 in the region.

The Lady Panthers will take a holiday break to heal injuries and prepare for their third region game. They host West Laurens on Jan. 8.

The Panthers will play at the Statesboro High School Christmas Tournament, where they will face Statesboro High at 8 p.m. Tuesday and Bradwell Institute at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
