Oct. 5
In Flea League (8-year-olds) action, the Saints won their second straight game, defeating the Cowboys 20-7. Rashaud Ross had a 37-yard touchdown jaunt and totaled 92 yards rushing for the Saints, who also got touchdowns from Jabarri Neal and Nicholas Kreighbaum.
Rashard Brown rushed for 82 yards and scored the lone touchdown for the Cowboys, who fell to 0-2 with the loss.
The Vikings and Patriots had a defensive battle, with the Vikings coming out on top 2-0. Keon West rushed for 39 yards to lead the Vikings, while Jaden Hurd led the Patriots with 47 yards rushing. Both teams’ records were 1-1 after the contest.

Oct. 6
In the Mite League (10-year-olds), the Rams improved to 1-1 by defeating the Cardinals 14-6. Markell Shelton led the Rams with
138 rushing yards and one touchdown. Nazario Lawrence scored the other touchdown for the Rams on a 78 yard scamper.
TreShaun Peggins rushed for 19 yards to lead the Cardinals, who fell to 0-2.
The Broncos rode strong performances by James Summersett and Sykeem Gordon to a 27-8 win over the Colts. Summersett rushed for
54 yards and one touchdown, and Gordon rushed for
59 yards and also scored a touchdown as the Broncos improved to 2-0.
The Colts’ DeOntae Grant had 72 yards and a touchdown and also made numerous tackles. The Colts fell to 1-1.

Oct. 7
In the Midget League (11-12-year-olds), the Chargers rolled over the Packers 30-12. Tre’Von Jackson was outstanding, rushing for
166 yards and three touchdowns for the Chargers (2-0). Teammates Caz Creasy and Jordan Anglin also scored TDs.
For the Packers (0-2), SirMon McLeod threw two TD passes, both to Kamarion Melvin.
The Falcons (2-0) were flying high with a 28-6 win over the Lions. Jovani Blas rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown, and Dashawn Edwards-Ross rushed for 67 yards and a TD. L’Tavius Mitchell scored two TDs for the Falcons, one rushing and another on a 73-yard kickoff return.
Kairen Cheneau was the leading rusher for the Lions (0-2) with 71 yards and a TD.

Oct. 8
In Pee Wee League (9-year-olds) action, the Jaguars defeated the Seahawks 26-0.
Tahshaun Frasier scored two touchdowns for the Jaguars (2-0) to go with 75 yards rushing on just three carries. The Jaguars’ Marquan Houston and Ron Golden also scored TDs.
For the Seahawks (0-1-1), Jamal Leonard rushed for 42 yards.
The 49ers picked up their first win of the young season, winning a close 13-6 contest with the Jets. Big plays carried the 49ers, as Shamar Johnson returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown and also connected with Matthew Richardson on a 40-yard scoring pass.
The Jets were led by Keyaundre Nelson who scored the Jets lone TD and rushed for 57 yards, while teammate Christopher Towne tallied 40 yards rushing.
The 49ers improved to 1-0-1, and the Jets fell to 0-2.
