Mite league girls

• Sanitary Plumbing 8, Dee’s Electric 6

The Mite girls representing Sanitary Plumbing took a quick lead and were up 8-2 by the close of the fourth inning. While the girls from Dee’s Electric struggled, they were not done fighting. The home team held Sanitary Plumbing in the top of the fifth and took their last at bat in the bottom of the inning.

The Dee’s Electric squad started connecting ball to bat and before the first out, they scored 3 runs. An infield error allowed the Dee’s team to add another run and they trailed 8-6 with one out. Sanitary Plumbing regrouped and the next Dee’s batter struck out. Dee’s had a runner at third but the next batter was tagged out at first ending the game with Sanitary Plumbing winning 8-6.

 

Adult Co-Ed league

• JOJ 0, Comcast 10

The Comcast squad brought out the heavy hitters and had a 6-0 by the 2nd inning over the squad representing Jones, Osteen and Jones. Comcast made it 8-0 in the third with hits to the left outfield fence and a homer.

The JOJ stepped up defensively but were not able to garner the hits they needed to force innings and the Comcast crew added 2 more runs to end the game in the fifth winning10-0.

 

Da Kine 4, AASU 2

The Da Kine squad had a narrow 3-2 lead against the Armstrong Atlantic team in the fourth inning. The Da Kine players commented on their lack of hits after a few pop flies earned them quick outs. In the fifth Da Kine added another run to go up 4-2. Defensively the AASU squad and the Da Kine squad kept each other in check. It took all 7 innings but Da Kine was able to hold on and win 4-2.

Coastal Electric 18, Interstate Credit Union 3

Boasting the only undefeated record in the adult Co-Ed league, the Coastal Electric team was up 10-2 over Interstate Credit Union in the third inning. Interstate added a run in the 4th but the sluggers of Coastal EMC hammered a couple of homers and slugged in 8 more runs to close the game with an 18-3 victory.
