LCRD playoffs winding down

The Liberty County Recreation Department’s Midget baseball championship has moved from Thursday to Tuesday, with the game time still at 5:30 p.m. Meanwhile, the Junior, Mite and Pee-Wee championships are scheduled for Thursday at Troop Park.
Heritage Bank has qualified for the Junior championship and awaits the winner of Hinesville Lodge and Chemtall.

Dustin Hawkins struck out 18 and earned the win for International Paper, while Jaleel Menifee had two hits.
Javaughn Newbould homered for Chemtall.
JOJ 11 , Vietnam Veterans of America 7
Patrick McDonald had three hits, including a double in the win.
Clenton Wells tripled twice in the loss.

Will Canies singled and doubled for Paper. Damien Southwell tripled and singled.
William Mongomery singled in the loss.

Marcus LeCounty singled and doubled and Ryan Eisenwein had two hits in the win.
