LCRD soccer All-Stars fare well in GRPA District 2 play
U 10 soccer
The 2019 Liberty County Recreation Department U10 soccer All Stars were coached by Robert Brown. The team consists of Dylan Barker, Robert Brown, Chloe Fowler, Mary Freeman, Saniya Garner, Jaden Herrington, Jacobi Jackson, Milton Law III, Taei Leiataua, Noah Martinez, Michael Perez and Montrell Watson.

Liberty County 2019 all-star soccer teams made good showings at Georgia Recreation & Parks Association (GRPA) District 2 tournaments in Wayne County on November 12-14.  

The U10 team perhaps deserved a better fate but lost to Coffee County 3-2 in their first round game when a ball deflected off a Liberty player to score a goal for Coffee.  The U12 team defeated Alma-Bacon County 9-0 and Coffee County 8-0 to advance to the District Championship game but lost to eventual state champ Wayne County 4-1.  The U14 team had a similar fate as they defeated Alma-Bacon County 7-0 and Long County 9-0, only to lose to eventual state champ Wayne County in the District championship.
