Long Co 10U Basketball Tm Wins  District Championship
The Long County 10 and under All-Star basketball team recently won the Georgia Recreation Parks Association Class C District Championship. Members of the team are Keshawn Smith, Elijah Lester, Troy Murray, Antwahn Golden, Quintin Carnegia, Nicholas Sizemore, Roderick Randall Jr., Kaleel Anderson, Zion Ervin and Jamison Thomas. 8U Girls: Defeated Glynn County, Camden County, and Ware County to advance to state. Lost to Jackson County in first round of state.

8U Boys: Lost to Glynn County in first round.

10U Girls: Defeated Camden County, but lost to Ware County in district championship game.

10U Boys 1: Defeated Ware County, Wayne County, and Camden County to advance to state. Defeated Barrow County and Murray County, but lost to Calhoun in the state championship game.

10U Boys 2: Lost to Camden County in first round.

12U Girls: Defeated Ware County and Camden County to advance to state. Defeated Summerville, but lost to Habersham County in semi-finals.

12U Boys 1: Defeated Camden County and Douglas/Coffee County, but lost to Glynn County in district championship game.

12U Boys 2: Lost to Glynn County in first round.

14U Girls: Lost to Camden County in district playoff but advanced to state as the District 2 runner-Up team. Defeated Irwin County, but lost to Savannah in semifinals.

14U Boys: Defeated Glynn County and Camden County to advance to state. Defeated Waynesboro but lost to Hapeville in semifinals.

17U Boys: Defeated Glynn County and Wayne County but lost to Douglas/Coffee County in district championship game. Advanced to state as the District 2 runner-up team. Defeated Effingham County and Waynesboro, but lost to Douglas/Coffee County, an all-District 2 final, in the state championship game.
