STATESBORO- Rain showers did not damper the fans' enthusiasm for the upcoming 2008 Georgia Southern football season. Saturday morning (Aug. 23) at Paulson Stadium 174 children signed up to participate in the second annual Little Eagles Camp.
Rain came near the end of camp as fans piled into Bishop Field House to Meet the Eagles, presented by Trapnell Dodge. According to director of sports marketing Brent Jones more than 2,000 football posters were handed out.
"The second annual Little Eagles Camp went better than expected with the rain that was scheduled in the forecast. We broke the attendance of last year's camp and you can definitely tell the excitement is building for the upcoming 2008 football season," said Jones.
Season tickets for the six home football games at Paulson Stadium are on sale. Fans can purchase tickets by calling 800-GSU-WINS. Football schedule posters can also be picked up at the sports marketing office inside Hanner Fieldhouse.
