Bradwell Institute’s softball team finished the first night of the Tattnall County Warriors’ Blast Tournament with a 1-1 record.
The Lady Tigers traveled Friday to Reidsville and were able to get their two games in despite imminent bad weather.
Bradwell pummeled Portal, 17-2, in its first game. However, later that evening, the Lady Tigers faced a tough challenge while facing Treutlen High School and fell, 5-4.
The tournament was scheduled to continue all day Saturday; scores were not available by press time. Read Wednesday’s Coastal Courier for a wrap-up on all the local teams participating in the tourney.
