There are a few teams still competing on the hard court before taking their Christmas break.
The Long County boys’ basketball team participated in the Savannah Christian Christmas Classic this weekend.
The Bradwell boys were in Coffee County on Friday, and the Bradwell Lady Tigers are competing in Macon.
The Blue Tide opened the Savannah Christian Tournament on Friday by beating the Groves Rebels, 60-55.
Jamal Anderson scored 18 points for Long County, while Chris LaRochester chipped in 10.
The boys were scheduled to play another opponent Friday night and one game Saturday, but the final scores were not posted by press time.
Also on Friday, the Bradwell boys fell to Coffee County, 65-50, in Douglas. The Tigers were 7-3 after the nonregion matchup and remain 3-0 in Region 3B-AAAAA.
The Lady Tigers competed in the annual Great Southern Shootout on Friday in Macon, losing to Northeast, 46-40.
