Camden rolls to 58-0 win over BI

Pinned in a corner most of the night, the Bradwell Institute Tigers struggled to find any momentum in a 58-0 loss Friday night at Region 3-AAAAA kingpin Camden County.
The Tigers were limited to just 21 total yards for the contest and threw four interceptions, three of which were turned into touchdowns. Limited to four first downs for the game and just one after halftime, Bradwell fell to 1-4 overall and 1-2 in region play.
Tiger quarterback Myrese Cobb completed five of 14 passes for 58 yards and Marsalis Jackson caught three aerials for 39 yards – two of the catches converting third-and-long situations – but turnovers and some big losses on rushing plays kept Bradwell from making any offensive headway.
Camden quarterback Brice Ramsey, a University of Georgia commitment, was six of 11 passing for 138 yards and a touchdown, scored another touchdown rushing, and boomed a school-record 57-yard field goal toward the end of the first half. J.J. Green scored two touchdowns rushing, and Damien Butler, Kevonn McKenzie, Sean Brown, Michael Perkins and Malcom Lewis also found the end zone for the second-ranked 4-0 Wildcats, who finished with 365 yards rushing and 503 yards total offense. McKenzie was the game’s leading rusher with 102 yards on six carries.
A 65-yard run by McKenzie, a 35-yard pass from Ramsey to Butler and a Green 16-yard run put CCHS up 21-0 after one quarter. In the second, Green struck paydirt from 48 yards out, Ramsey kept from 13 yards for another score and then drilled his record kick for a 37-0 lead at the intermission. Brown and Perkins both darted in from eight yards out in the third quarter, and Lewis scored on a 54-yard sprint in the game’s waning moments.
The Tiger defense didn’t force the hosts to punt but did recover a pair of second-half Wildcat fumbles. Bradwell punter Kris Lewis averaged 41 yards on eight kicks.
