First Presbyterian Christian Academy’s baseball season is all but over after the Highlanders fell, 7-6, to Trinity Christian School on Wednesday in Hinesville.
The loss closed the door on any chance of the Highlanders making the playoffs.
The Highlanders had a 4-0 lead going into the fifth inning. However, that’s when the Crusaders’ bats came alive as they scored seven runs.
FPCA got two runs in the sixth and held the Dublin team scoreless through the sixth and seventh, but couldn’t regain the lead in the final at-bat.
On Tuesday in Hinesville, the Highlanders, lost to top-ranked Brentwood School, 14-1.
While the post season may be out of reach, the Highlanders have one game left on the schedule. FPCA will host Coastal Home School of Pembroke at 5 p.m. May 8. The Highlanders will honor graduating seniors DeShaun Collins, Richard Lovelady, Morgan Crean and Matt Lormis before the first pitch.
