First Presbyterian Christian Academy’s junior-varsity soccer teams both did well this season. The Highlander boys went 10-0 for the year. The girls were 7-1, but recorded five shutout wins.
FPCA coach Tom Sukaratana said the defense played well throughout the season. Madison and Mackenzie Buckley and Mary Kathryn Whitney were among the girls team’s defensive leaders. Cecilia Graham and new Lady ’Lander Lloya Stevens led the team in scoring.
The Highlander boys had six shutouts and only allowed five goals the whole season.  
CJ Dargan was the leading scorer with six hat tricks in 10 games. The coach said Cooper Williams, Joseph Cannata and Alexander Pagan played exceptional defense and Zander Hill did well as the goalkeeper.
“He is probably one of the best keepers in our league,” Sukaratana said.
The coach added that Casey Rearly, Mark Alan McGarry, Connor Ling, Palmer Whitney, Ethan Hall and Christopher Dargan comprised the core of the future varsity Highlanders, having played together for quite some time.
