Eagles announce
nonconference slate
STATESBORO — Georgia Southern recently finalized its 2014 non-conference football schedule.
The schedule opens Aug. 30 at N.C. State in Raleigh and continues Sept. 6 at home against Savannah State.
The Eagles will be at Georgia Tech on Sept. 13 in Atlanta and will play their final game of the regular season at Navy on Nov. 15 in Annapolis, Md.
Savannah State replaces previously announced FCS opponent Duquesne, which did not meet the required 90 percent grant-in-aids over a rolling two-year period.
