STATESBORO — Georgia Southern Athletics has entered into a partnership with SIDEARM Sports to create an all-new gseagles.com, according to the university’s current website.
The new website will launch in the near future.
“We are excited to join with SIDEARM Sports to form a new easy to use website that will provide fans one site for all of their Georgia Southern news, tickets and shopping needs,” GSU Athletic Director Tom Kleinlein said. “The website provides more opportunities to increase exposure for our student-athletes and revenue opportunities for the department. We have also heard from fans that they want access to live stats on their mobile devices and this site will meet those needs.”
Features of the new website include an all-access section with live streams and archives of Eagle games and features and interviews with coaches and players, calendar with all upcoming contests, one-touch links to social media, tickets, Athletic Foundation and online bookstore.
The new deal will also include a full suite of mobile features for fans using tablets and phones. The website, live stats and video streams can all be accessed on Android, iOS and Windows phones. Fans also can receive text alerts.
