First Presbyterian Christian Academy’s baseball team earned a 7-4 win Thursday at St. Andrews.
Highlander Darius Tilghman earned the win on the mound in four innings pitched. He gave up two runs on four hits.
The Highlanders had a 5-2 lead when Highlander Kyle Hill came in as relief in the fifth. St. Andrews drove in a run, making it a 5-3 ball game.
The Highlanders added a run in the sixth, but St. Andrews answered back with a run, making it a 6-4 game going into the final inning.
Christian Ruff came through with a two-out, run-scoring single in top of the seventh to extend the lead and clinch the 7-4 victory.
Dalton Smiley pitched the sixth and seventh innings. He struck out the side in the bottom of the seventh to end the game.
Tilghman, James Phillips and Smiley led the Highlanders in hitting.
FPCA will play Region 2-AA foe Frederica at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on St. Simons Island.
