Hinesville’s semi-pro football team, the Hurricanes, will host the Putnam County Steelers at 4 p.m. Saturday at Long Bell Stadium.
The ’Canes are coming off a 16-12 loss last weekend in Jacksonville against the Blackhawks, giving the team a 4-2 record to date. The Hurricanes are in second place in their division, while the Steelers (5-1) currently lead the league.
Several Hinesville players were out on military training or injured the last two games, but the ’Canes will field a full roster Saturday.
Admission is $5 for adults, with children 12 and younger free. All students with proper ID will receive free admission for what might be the final home game for the Hurricanes, pending the playoff bracket.
Raffle tickets will be sold and prizes awarded. Those with winning tickets must be present at the game to claim their prize.
