Liberty County failed to cash in on scoring opportunities against Brunswick on Tuesday in a Region 2A-AAAA softball matchup, and the end result was a 11-2 loss to the Pirates.
The Lady Panthers hit well, coach Jerome Standard said, but twice left the bases loaded. The bright spot for Liberty County was when the team turned a triple play.
“Overall, not a good day for Panther softball,” Standard said.
Taylor Anderson and Gabriella Anthony each drove in a run for the Lady Panthers, who also got hits from Victoria Anthony, Brittany Desbiens, Ashley Desbiens and Diamone Johnson. Pitcher Lori Harden took the loss.
