First Presbyterian Christian Academy’s boys’ soccer team notched a 3-0 win over Valwood Christian on Monday at St. James Field.
The FPCA boys hit two goals in the first half and added a third in the second. Point University commit Clark Sukaratana scored the first goal, and Middle Georgia commit Stanford Graham chipped in a shot before the half for a 2-0 lead.
Tyler Cause, also committed to Point University, added the final goal in the second half.
Valwood had a few shots on goal during the first half of play, but Highlander goalkeeper Josh Kuhns saved the shots with some good catches and two dives.
The Highlanders, 3-2 overall and 1-0 in Region 1-AA of the Georgia Independent School Association classifications, will play in the Sherwood Tournament this weekend in Albany. They will face set region opponent Trinity Christian in their first game and non-conference foe Lafayette Christian in their second game.
