Liberty handed loss in baseball

The Liberty County baseball team took a 12-0 loss Tuesday from Benedictine in Savannah.
According to LCHS coach Joel Moody, the Panthers struggled at bat, mustering up only one base hit in the game. Panther Kevin Chiu started strong on the mound by getting three outs on three batters in the first inning.
But the Cadets started swinging the bats and the Panthers used five pitchers in the game.
Liberty, which is 2-3 overall, travels Saturday to Nahunta to face Brantley County for an 11 a.m. game.

Soccer
Bradwell Institute’s soccer game at Beach High on Tuesday was called off due to rain. The Lady Tigers are 2-3-0 overall. The Tiger boys are 1-4-0.
Liberty County’s soccer squads were at Glynn Academy Tuesday in Brunswick, where both teams fell to the Red Terrors. The Liberty boys lost 4-0 to fall to 0-3-1 and 0-2 in Region 2A-AAAA. The Lady Panthers lost 9-0 and are 0-3-1 overall and 0-2 in the region.
