The Long County High School girls’ basketball team fell to 0-2 with a 38-17 loss to Wayne County on Saturday in Jesup.
Though the Lady Tide played hard, the team still made too many mistakes, coach Ryan Bailey said.
He said that if the Lady Tide are to improve, they have to take a step back.
“Getting back to the basics and working on fundamentals is the only way for us to improve,” he said. ‘We must shoot more, pass more and dribble more to improve the product on the court.”
Long County High School will be back on the court at 6 p.m. Saturday at Liberty County High School. Liberty swept the earlier meeting this season.
