The folks at Veterans’ Stadium were on their feet as the Long County Blue Tide scored a touchdown with two seconds left on the clock, forcing overtime Friday night. Blue Tide football coach Ronald Flott was playing against the Yellow Jackets of Southeast Bulloch, where he used to coach, and the score was tied, 21-21, at the end of regulation.
The Yellow Jackets were able to break the plane first to win, 27-21, in the heated battle. Long County fought back from a 21-13 deficit to force the overtime.
The Blue Tide (0-2) play host to Wayne County next Friday.
