Liberty County High School linebacker Raekwon McMillan performed well over the weekend at the 2012 Atlanta NIKE training camp.
McMillan was ranked ninth among the 200 top prospects who attended the camp, according to 247sports.com.
247sports.com also reported that McMillan proved that he is a five-star prospect for the next recruiting cycle and described him as a “heat-seeking missile who has racked up some impressive offers following a sophomore season in which he made 84 tackles and 14 tackles for loss.”
“It’s a true blessing and I’m very grateful for everything my coaches have done for me,” McMillan said. “The work that coach Kirk Warner, Tony and Ryan Glazer have done for me is awesome.”
In addition to his impressive performance, McMillan picked up another college offer from Auburn last week. So far he has received offers from Alabama State, Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Mississippi, North Carolina State, Ohio State and South Carolina, according to rivals.com.
“It’s really another blessing to have all these scholarship offers,” McMillan said. “I put in a lot of hard work behind the scenes during the offseason, and it’s finally paying off.”
