The Liberty boys’ team beat Groves, 72-40, and the Lady Panthers throttled Windsor Forest, 64-14.

Panthers
Fresh off his stint as a wide receiver for the football team, senior Freddie McSwain had no problem transitioning back to his favorite sport
McSwain led Liberty with 30 points, and sophomore Jishaun Harris chipped in 15 points. The duo each had a double-double with McSwain nabbing 12 rebounds and Harris grabbing 11.
Panther coach Willie Graham still has a few more players trickling in now that football season has ended. He said he thinks Richard LeCounte will start playing soon. Xavier Tunstall saw time in Saturday’s game, adding four points.
While the boys won both tournament games, Graham said the team still needs work as they get ready to play Friday at Bradwell Institute.
“We made a lot of errors,” Graham said. “But the kids played hard.”
