Player feats: Johnson leads Bobcats to first conference wins

Former First Presbyterian Christian Academy basketball player Jordan Johnson scored 26 points with four rebounds and two assists, helping the East Georgia College Bobcats earn their first conference win of the season against South Georgia Tech. The Bobcats won 75-59 on Dec. 1.
Johnson was also 5 of 10 from behind the arc.
Johnson’s former Highlander teammate D.J. Felder played well in the low post, scoring 14 points with 6 rebounds and a steal.
On Wednesday, the Bobcats earned their second conference win, defeating Middle Georgia College, 73-65.
Johnson led scoring again with 25 points. Felder had 8.
The Bobcats played at home yesterday and will host Georgia Highlands Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

All-Region Panthers
Five Liberty County High School football players have been selected to the 3-AAAA All-Region South team, one being chosen as the Player of the Year.
Standout linebacker Raekwon McMillan, who recently won a Coastal Courier Player of the Year award, was selected as the Region’s Defensive Player of the year.
Panther offensive lineman Kharn Collier-Ellison, tight end Jeremy Caldwell-Fabergas, defensive lineman Taishon Walls and defensive back DJ Bratcher made the All-Region Team.
