Scotts All-Stars finish third

The Scott’s All-Stars 11U basketball team recently finished third in the Memorial Day Classic in Orlando.
According to All-Stars founder Marcus Scott, coach Darrell West took the team to a 3-3 record and final-four appearance against stiff competition.
“We were definitely in the toughest pool, which made it easier for us to run through teams in bracket play,” Scott said. “Three out of four teams in our pool made it to the final four, and the team that beat us won the championship.”
Before nationals, scheduled for July 1-4, the All-Stars will host a tournament this week and travel to Brunswick next week.
“Last year we made it to the elite eight, but this year we expect to win the championship,” Scott said.
Scott’s All-Stars also will host a basketball camp for children ages 5-14 at the YMCA on June 27-30.
Registrations will be accepted through the YMCA office, and the cost is $30 per person.
