Scott’s All*Stars seventh-grade basketball team last week went 2-0 to win a tournament it hosted at the Liberty County YMCA.
All*Stars founder and coach Marcus Scott IV said he was proud of the players’ progress as they reached mid-season.
The YMCA tournament also featured sixth- and eighth-grade teams.
The All*Stars will host their fourth tournament over Mother’s Day weekend.
The upcoming tournament also will have teams representing grades sixth through eight and will be at Midway Middle School on May 11-12.
The Liberty County Blazer and the Coastal Crew Rebels will participate in the tournament, and Scott anticipates having teams from Brunswick, Savannah and Long County in the field.
