Six members of the Long County High School baseball team have received All-Region 2-AA honors.
Senior Luke Golden was selected to the All-Region first team as a designated hitter, and junior Cody Fleck garnered second-team honors as a shortstop.
Tristan Goodro, Shawn Mills, Clay Strickland and Chase Rogers all received honorable mention.
Brian Thomas, who was the head coach for the Blue Tide this year before resigning, said that he was proud of all six players.
“I am very proud of Luke and Cody; both had terrific years,” Thomas said. “It’s an honor to be selected on this year’s (2-AA) team, especially since three of the four teams that made the playoffs from our region advanced to the Elite 8 or better.”
Long County went 14-11 overall and 9-9 in the region.
