Hinesville Gators tryouts planned
The Hinesville Gator soccer teams will have tryouts Thursday and Saturday at James Brown Park. At 5 p.m. Thursday, tryouts will be open for boys and girls for the 12U, 13U and 14U squads. At 2 p.m. Saturday, tryouts begin for boys and girls in the 12U, 13U, 14U and 18U divisions.

J Star Elite Youth football camp set
J Star Elite youth football camp of Savannah will host a summer football camp session June 7-9 at the St. James Sports Center.
The camp is open to boys in grades two through eight. Campers are taught fundamental skills and will receive age-appropriate fitness instruction. Each participant also will receive basic lessons on nutrition, injury prevention, cross training and sportsmanship. Campers should bring cleats, lunch and a snack, and wear appropriate clothing for football. Online registration ends June 5. The camp fee is $125 until the start of camp. Registration price on the starting day is $135.

AUSA Golf Tournament planned for next week
The fifth annual AUSA Golf Tournament will be at 9 a.m. Friday, June 14, at Taylor’s Creek Golf Course.
The registration fee for a four-person team is $200. Continental breakfast will be available, and lunch will be provided by Hooters.

HAPfan Golf Tourney set for this weekend

The HAPfan/Mabel Creel Memorial Golf Tournament will be Saturday, June 8, at the Cherokee Rose Golf Course in Hinesville. The four-person scramble begins at 1:30 p.m. Entry fee is $240 for a team or $60 per individual. Cash prizes will be awarded for the top three teams, longest drive and closest to the tee. Door prizes and a lunch and dinner will be provided. Lace Up sports camps planned for many sports

Lace Up Sports and Fitness is offering soccer, football and specialty sports camps.
Soccer camp is open to children ages 5-15 on June 17-2; the fee is $20. Football camp is open to ages 5-14 on June 24-27; the fee is $20. T-Ball league is open to ages 3-10 and is $20. Adult kick-ball league is forming and is open to ages 16 and up; the fee is $75. Speed-training drills will be from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesdays and Fridays; the fee is $30 per week.
