In Wednesday’s paper, the wrong names were reported for the runner-up team for the first flight of the Alumni Association golf tournament. Anthony and Toby Howard claimed second place in the flight. The Courier regrets the error.

Hinesville Gators
tryouts set for Saturday
The Hinesville Gator soccer teams will have tryouts at 2 p.m. Saturday at James Brown Park.
Tryouts will be for boys and girls in the 12U, 13U, 14U and 18U divisions.

Kids Fishing Day set
The staff of Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge will host its first Kids Fishing Day from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. June 8.
Children, ages 5-12, can learn about water safety, fishing ethics, equipment, casting and marine debris, while also having time to fish. Pre-registration is required and limited to 80 children. Participants will get free rods, reels and tackle boxes to use and take home. Lunch will be provided. State fishing licenses will not be required.

Lady Tigers softball team plans conditioning
The Bradwell Lady Tigers softball team will have summer conditioning from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 9-11 a.m. Saturdays at the Lady Tigers softball field.
Girls entering grades eight-12 are welcome to attend. Participants must have a current sports physical and need to bring softball equipment, tennis shoes and a water bottle. AUSA Golf Tournament planned for next week
The fifth annual AUSA Golf Tournament will be at 9 a.m. Friday, June 14, at Taylor’s Creek Golf Course. The registration fee for a four-person team is $200.
