Seventh annual Savannah Mile Run set

Registration is under way for the Savannah Mile Run, which will be at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 25, in Forsyth Park. The Savannah Mile will include five heats, a fun-run family heat and five-year age groups. All proceeds go to The 200 Club, which provides immediate financial assistance to the families of local law-enforcement officers and firefighters who lose their lives in the line of duty. Entry fees will be waived for first responders and military members.

Panthers need equipment

The Liberty County High School Lady Panthers need new and used softball gloves and bats. Anyone wishing to donate can drop off items at the school’s front office.

Jiu jitsu training open

Jiu jitsu training is open to participants ages 8 and older. Classes will be scheduled by appointment. For more information, call 368-2323.
