Walk-a-Thon planned for scholarships
Seven Ministries of Liberty County has set its Jackie Gilliard-Henderson Memorial Scholarship Walk-a-Thon for May 17.
Money raised will fund scholarships for graduating seniors from Liberty County’s public high schools. Additional funds will support the organization’s other programs, such as its drug-and-alcohol ministry and programs for youths and the elderly.  Participants will meet at 6:30 a.m., and the walk starts at 7. Walkers 21 and older are asked to give $20; those 16-20 are asked to give $10. There is no fee for younger children.
