BB training at YMCA

Training for future American Basketball Association players is from 1-3 p.m. Sundays at the YMCA. It is open to boys and girls ages 6-14. There is a one-time, $20 registration fee and a weekly fee of $10. For more information, call 610-3092.

Softball team needs gear
The Liberty Lady Panthers are in need of new and used softball gloves and bats. Anyone wishing to donate equipment can drop off the items at the school’s front office.

YMCA T-Ball
The Liberty County YMCA is accepting registrations for the upcoming T-Ball season. Register until May 10. It is open to ages 3-7. For more information call 368-9622.

Smiley Golf Tournament
The fifth annual John E. Smiley Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday at the Cherokee Rose Country Club in Hinesville. Entry costs $50 per person. The format is a four-person scramble. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. This year’s tournament will benefit Micah Smiley, 6, who has been diagnosed with lymphoblastic T-cell lymphoma.
