Hurricanes to host free game
Hinesville’s semi-professional football team, the Hinesville Hurricanes, will host a preseason game Saturday on Fort Stewart against the Brunswick Revolution.
The game will start at 3 p.m. and is free and open to the public. The Hurricanes start their regular season at 7 p.m. March 2  by hosting the Commanders at Long Bell Stadium in Hinesville.

Third annual all-star game set
The third annual middle-school/freshman/sophomore all-star game will be at noon March 2 at Midway Middle School. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Children younger than 5 are admitted free. The girls’ middle-school games tip off at 1 p.m., the boys’ games are at 2:30 p.m., and the freshman/sophomore games will follow. Pitch for a Cure softball tournament
Georgia Power is hosting its third annual Pitch for a Cure softball tournament Saturday, March 23, at James Brown Park in Hinesville. The entry fee is $150 per team. The registration deadline is March 18. YMCA spring soccer
Registration for the YMCA’s spring soccer league is open through March 1 for participants ages 3 and older. Soccer coaches also are need. For more information, call 368-9622.

Junior ABA training
Training to develop future American Basketball Association players is from 1-3 p.m. Sundays at the YMCA. It is open to boys and girls ages 6-14. There is a one-time $20 registration fee and a weekly fee of $10. For more information, call 912-610-3092.

South Georgia Kings prep for AAU season
