Tournament set
at Marne Lanes
Marne Lanes will host a Valentine’s Day nine-pin no-tap scotch doubles tournament from 1-3 p.m. Feb. 9. Early team registrations are $25 until Feb. 2. Walk-in registrations are $30 the day of the event. Registration is cash only. Sign-up begins one hour before each shift.

LCRD track and field coming soon
Registration for the Liberty County Recreation Department’s 2013 track-and-field program begins Friday and runs through Feb. 15.  
This program is for Liberty County residents who turn 7 and do not turn 15 prior to Jan. 1, 2014. Age divisions are 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14 for both boys and girls.  Practices will start in early March, with meets beginning late March. Cost is $20 per participant. A birth certificate or other age verification must be on file at the LCRD for all participants. Volunteers are needed to coach teams and help with timing and scoring.

LCRD volleyball
Registration for the Liberty County Recreation Department’s youth and adult volleyball programs begins Friday.  
The youth program is for ages 10-15, and the fee is $20 per child. Ages 16 and older may participate in the adult program. The cost for adult entries is $150 per team.  
Registration runs through Feb. 15. Practices start in early March, and matches begin  in late March. A birth certificate or other age verification must be on file at the LCRD for all participants. Volunteer coaches are needed for all teams.

Registration for the Liberty County Recreation Department’s youth soccer program runs Friday through Feb. 15.  
This program is for Liberty County residents who are between the ages of 4-14 of Aug. 1, 2013.  Fee is $30 per child for ages 4-7 and $45 per child for ages 8-15.  The program starts in early March and ends in mid-April.  Volunteer coaches are needed for all youth teams.

The Liberty County Recreation Department’s adult-soccer registration will run Friday through Feb. 15.  This program is for Liberty County residents ages 16 and older. The fee is $150 per team.  The program will start in early March and end in late April.  Call 876-5359 for additional information.
