SoccerGirls
Kelsey Higgason (second row, left), Asyria Daniels (second row, second from left) and Brooke Standard (third row, next to coach) recently participated on the Coastal Georgia SSA U18 Tournament team in the Florida State Invitational in Tallahassee. The team, coached by Michael Townsend, won the tourney with the final match against Floridas No. 6 Santa Rosa (Pensacola) going into overtime and a penalty-kick shootout. The tournament made it seven matches in three days for Higgason, Daniels and Standard as they had just completed an FPCA high-school tournament at Sherwood Academy in Albany before traveling to Tallahassee. Standard also was named the tournament teams most valuable player, as voted on by the opposing finalist team and coach. - photo by Photo provided.
