The Long County High School baseball and softball teams will offer a camp for children from 8 a.m.-noon this week at the Long County Recreation Department.
The camp, which begins Monday and wraps up Wednesday,  is for children ages 8-12 who are entering sixth, seventh and eighth grades. The cost for camp is $50 for all three days or $20 per day.  Checks should be made out to the Long County Diamond Club for baseball participants and to the Elite Diamond Club for softball participants.   
Each player will need a signed a permission slip from his or her guardian to participate. Coaches Brian Thomas and Tyler Rogers will run the event, and current and former Blue Tide and Lady Tide players will offer assistance.
