Tiger, Panthers go top-two at track invite

Bradwell Institute and Liberty County High School claimed first and second place, respectively, at the Phoenix Invitational track meet March 22 at New Hampstead High School.
The Bradwell boys and girls earned first place in their divisions, while the Panther squads wrapped up second place against eight other local high schools.
The Lady Tigers scored 152.5 points in 15 events. The Lady Panthers tallied 137 points for second, and the host high school wrapped up third with 119.
The Tigers scored 133 points in 14 events for first. The Panthers were right behind with 127.5, and Richmond Hill was third with 94.5.
Tiger coach DeAndre Davis said having depth in a lot of different events really has helped the team this season.
Panther track coach Nathan Mims said he was proud of his team and was thrilled the students representing the county did so well.
