Bradwell Institute will scrimmage Wayne County High School at 7:30 tonight in Jesup.
The game will pit the Tigers against a Yellow Jacket squad that has seven starters back both on offense and defense.
However, the Yellow Jackets will be without quarterback Greyson Lambert, who is set to begin his college career at the University of Virginia.
According to maxpreps.com, the Yellow Jackets return their top wide receiver, Krenwick Height; center Glen Welch; and defensive lineman Jeremy Patterson.
The Tigers have an experienced quarterback in LaBaron Anthony.
The former junior-varsity starter began taking reps on the varsity squad as a freshman due to his running ability and speed. Now a junior, Anthony also can throw deep and played in several varsity games last season.
Tigers head coach Jim Walsh said Anthony has packed on some muscle weight and knows the offensive schemes.
The Tigers also return talent and skill at offensive line, as well as the receiving and rushing corps.
The scrimmage will give the Tigers the opportunity to tweak their defense, where they lost several starters from the line and linebacker corps.
The Tigers are 2-0 against the Yellow Jackets. Bradwell won, 28-13, in 2008 and 21-6 in 2009.
The Yellow Jackets played in Region 2A-AAAA last season, finishing 4-5-1 overall and 3-2 in the region.
