Both local teams dropped baseball games Tuesday with the Bradwell Tigers traveling to Waycross to face the Ware County Gators and the Liberty Panthers hosting South Effingham.
Tiger coach Rhett Hellgren said mental errors let the Gators win, 11-4.
Both teams traded runs and managed good defense, keeping the score tied at 4 until the sixth inning.
In the top of the sixth, three Gator batters walked, two batters were hit by pitches and two smacked doubles. The Tigers also committed five errors, letting the Gators run up the 11-4 lead.
Tigers Kyle Lannum and Stephen Felton managed two hits each. The BI boys fall to 3-8 overall and 1-4 in Region 3B-AAAAA.
At Panther field, the Liberty boys hosted Region 3A-AAAA foe South Effingham. It took the Mustangs four innings to amass the 20-4 win.
Liberty falls to 2-5 overall and 0-2 in the region.
Liberty County will play Wayne County tonight at 6 in Jesup. The Tigers play at 6 at Glynn Academy.
