Two members of the Long County High School ladies track and field team competed at the recent AA state championships.
Kaylee Camp competed in the 3200-meter race and Alyssa Mullins ran the 800-meter.
Camp had a respectable meet coming in 10th place
Mullins, who had been undefeated throughout the season, fell during her race and was unable to complete the course.
“Alyssa and Kaylee worked hard throughout the season and both of them were focused on making it out of the regionals, sectionals and making it to state.” Lady Tide track coach Erica Harris said. “I’m proud of both student-athletes and they both are well deserving of their opportunity to represent Long County.”
The state track meet was on May 9 in Albany at Hugh Mills Stadium.
