POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Georgia Southern women’s basketball coach Chris Vozab was inducted into the Our Lady of Lourdes High School Hall of Fame at a dinner last week at Dutchess Country Club, according to gseagles.com.
Vozab scored 1,239 points and averaged more than five assists per game while helping lead the Warriors to four sectional and league titles and a state championship, the website said.
Vozab earned numerous honors in high school, including being a two-time first-team all-state selection and earned USA Today Honorable Mention All-America honors. Vozab also was the Poughkeepsie Journal Player of the Year twice.
Vozab enters her third campaign at the helm of the Georgia Southern program and has a 18-43 record.
She has led the Eagles to Southern Conference Tournament victories in each of her first two seasons, and Georgia Southern returns three starters and eight letterwinners to the 2014-15 squad.
