Despite a 92 yard return for a touchdown in the opening kick of the game by Liberty's Tay Tay Bacon, the Richmond Hill Wildcats upset the Panthers' homecoming winning 14-6 at Donell Wood Stadium tonight. Minutes after scoring their first touchdown Shadrach Thornton plowed through blockers and ran to the outside for a 51 yard touchdown that was wiped away by a holding call. The Panthers had several opportunities inside the Wildcats' 20 but were unable to punch through the goal line.

The Wildcats have their first win over Liberty County in nearly a decade and their first 5-0 start since 1996. They are 1-0 in sub-region 2A-AAAA. Wildcat Aaron Dixon scored the Wildcats' first touchdown on a 2 yard run in the second quarter and kicker Cannon Rooker made the PAT to go up 7-6. In the fourth quarter Wildcat David Katzam scored on a one yard run, Rooker kicked for the 14-6 win.
