The Wildlife Critters held their 4th annual Relay for Life softball tournament last weekend to raise money for the 2009 campaign.

On the men’s side, Baggie Wrinkles took home the first-place trophy and the runners up were the Long County High School young boys team.

On the ladies side, the Faith Baptist Crusaders won first place, with the Wildlife Critters team and the Ladies of Tibet rounding out the top three teams.

The members of the Baggie Wrinkles team were Jeremy Hall, Royce Chambless, Tony Fowler, Bobby Simmons, Jeffrey Edmondson, Dale Simmons, Randy Wilson, Lee Mitchum, Wes Johnson, Bobby Walker and Randy Moss.

The Faith Baptist Crusaders team included Connie Swope, Tiffany Swope, Jennifer Deen, Lehua Barrett, Joe Barrett, Reagan Jarrett, Kelly Sheppard, Arlyn Brannen, Maggie Brannen, Samantha Brannon, Traci Brannen, Brittany Swope, Trish Eicher and McKenzie Pittman.

"All the money raised went to the RFL through the Wildlife Critters, and even though there were some sore bodies the next day, it all was for a good cause," said Critters’ team captain, Beverly Johnson.

This year’s Long County Relay for Life is May 1 at Smiley Elementary School’s Veteran’s Stadium.
