The Long County High School baseball team continued to struggle last week, dropping games to Region 2-AA opponents Jeff Davis High School 13-0 on Tuesday in Hazlehurst and Bacon County 4-3 on Friday in Alma.
With the two losses, Long County fell to 6-10 overall and 2-4 in the region.
Early on against Jeff Davis, it was painfully clear that the home team wasn’t going to fall as the always-tough Yellow Jackets (10-4) manhandled the Blue Tide.
Though the Blue Tide played much better against Bacon County (14-2) and had their chances to pull out the upset, the Raiders still notched the win.
On Tuesday, the Blue Tide are on the road again, taking on Bryan County (5-6) at 4:30 p.m. in Pembroke.
