Long County boosters seeking sponsors

The high school football season is just around the corner. With funding for sporting programs always a struggle, many teams will be looking for financial assistance from the public.

The Long County Touchdown Booster Club that supports the Long County High School team is offering several ways for both individuals and businesses to help this season.

Sponsorships can be purchased for as little as $50 and can feature individuals and families. Sponsorships tailored more for businesses range in cost between $300-$1000. These sponsorships include a sign or logo painted on the field and they are provided additional exposure on the Long County High School website sport page. In addition, they are given periodic exposure on the booster club’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

Booster club president Eric Crawford said that even though the team needs monetary help, if an individual can’t afford to help financially, they can also help the team by becoming a booster club member and volunteering their time.

"I hope that you will consider sponsoring our football program, your money will be used to support the young athletes in the football program. We also offer payment plans as an added feature to maximize our support. Thank you for your consideration, I look forward to hearing from you", said Crawford.

That game is in Ludowici and it starts at 7 p.m.
