The Long County Sharks boys team and the Carolina Blue girls team wrapped up their basketball season with a Feb. 7 party at the Clubhouse in Rye Patch.

Team members enjoyed the day playing hide and seek and horse shoes, some of them, for the first time.

After the games, the players petted the horses, goats and other livestock, and then they all sat down for hamburgers and fries.

After the meal, each of the coaches presented trophies and certificates of participation from the Long County Recreation Department.

Shark players included Theodore Brunson Jr., Timani White, Hunter Bennett, Nikolaus Bryant, Erin Ginder, Akeem Ellington and Holden Riddle.

Sharks team mom Tinisha White said, "Today was a great day; I think the kids and the parents had a real good time out here."

The Carolina Blue players were Zaria Brunson, Katie Hodges, Nykia Cochran, Caitlin Wingate, Heaven Brunson, Hannah Williams, Ravae Rose, Malaka Elix and Savannah Dozier.

The coaches for the Carolina Blue team were Kia Brunson and Tina Rose.

Department director is Sam Taylor and the assistant director is Deonna Carter.
