Long County crowns Homecoming royalty

Long County High School had its annual Homecoming ceremony Friday during the Blue Tide vs. Pierce County football game.

Senior Ch’Hyya Wright was chosen as the homecoming queen for 2017. The junior princess was Sophie Cooper. Sophomore princess was Chante Thomas. And the freshman princess was Ajmanni Jefferson.

Jefferson was escorted by Cameron Key. Thomas was escorted by Adison Russell, Cooper by Jose Boyd, and Wright by her father Dante.

Each of the members of the court were crowned by 2016 Homecoming queen Ja’Nya Bryant. The theme for this year’s Homecoming was "Once Upon a Tide."
